WRITTEN FORMATTING

Please use the follow format when writing your stories:

FONT SIZE: 12PT
FONT STYLE: TIMES NEW ROMAN/GARAMOND

Name____both names________________________Block______

                                         Title 

(remember, all words in a title are capitalized except little words)

                      2 spaces between title and text

(double space your lines for easy editing - left justified)

  (don't forget to indent the first line in every paragraph)

       This is an example of what your written work should look

like when we see it on the page.  Double spacing helps during

the revision process because it allows for easier readability.  This

is called "white space".  Sometimes I might say to you, "You need 

more white space."  This means that I need more of the white 

paper to show so that the work is easier for me to read - it's more 

pleasant on the eyes AND it might help you to emphasize an idea

you are trying to make.
